Rob joined Rout Milner Fitchett as a lawyer in 2012, returning to Nelson having previously worked at a national law firm in Wellington.

Rob has a wide practice area which includes commercial and residential property developments, subdivisions, sales and purchases, contract drafting and disputes, leases, relationship property, family trusts, wills, and civil and estate litigation. In this work Rob deals with a wide range of clients from large corporate organisations to start up businesses and private individuals.

Rob is focused on helping our clients achieve their goals and assesses each matter to adopt a strategy designed to further the client's interests.  With a wide practice area, Rob is able to consider whether certain courses of action will have effects on other aspects of the client's life or business.  

Rob lives in Nelson City with his wife and their young son.  Rob is also involved in providing advice to several charitable organisations.

Rob completed his law degree at Otago University in 2009 and joined the partnership at Rout Milner Fitchett in 2015.
